The 2030 SDGs, authored and adopted by the United Nations member states to build a more prosperous world while protecting the environment consists of 17 goals that cut across various sectors such as agriculture, sanitation, health, and energy. While India has prioritized key sectors for intervention through policy and funding, several grass-root innovators, development organizations and scientific institutions have responded to this global call for sustainable development through design and technological innovations.

There are many challenges faced by these innovators like funding, testing, Intellectual property, market access, etc, which act as a hindrance in the process of scaling up the technological innovation. RICH intends to help the technologies innovation through the value chain to quicken the process of implementation.
