About the Initiative

The Telangana BioE3 Cell is a state-level biomanufacturing coordination platform established in alignment with India’s BioE3 Policy - Biotechnology for Economy, Environment and Employment. The Cell enables structured collaboration between government, industry, start-ups, academia, and investors to accelerate sustainable biomanufacturing and bio-based innovation.

The initiative supports the national vision of building a high-impact bioeconomy and advancing technology-led, climate-aligned industrial growth.

The Telangana BioE3 Cell is facilitated by Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH) in coordination with national agencies including the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

Purpose

To serve as a state knowledge and implementation hub that translates BioE3 policy goals into actionable programs, partnerships, pilots, and scalable biomanufacturing opportunities across Telangana.
